About the adventure
We know how hard it can be to get kids excited about museum exhibits.
That’s why we created something different.
We are Anna Urikh, an art historian and guide with 12 years of experience, and Natasha & Mark Minskii, quest and adventure creators, teamed up to craft an educational adventure in the Rijksmuseum that will captivate today’s kids and give your whole family a truly memorable cultural experience.
Here’s what we made for you:
- We handpicked iconic masterpieces of the Dutch Golden Age, along with fascinating stories behind them.
- We built an exciting storyline: You’ll help Rik, the fisherman's son, rescue his best friend Aila from the mysterious “Beyond the Frame.” Guiding you? A scholarly talking herring named Lady Herrindella.
- We turned it into a full-blown audio play, with professional sound design and voice actors (not AI)– so the art comes to life all around you. Audio sample available.
- We added original illustrations, videos, quirky challenges and wrapped it all into a phone-based quest-tour. You can start and finish whenever it suits your family.
Perfect for ages 8–12, but honestly? It’s way more fun than a regular museum audioguide – even for teens and grown-ups.
Included in the adventure
- For two of the challenges, we’ve prepared printable materials to make the experience even more vivid for kids.
👉 Link is her. But don’t worry, you can fully enjoy the quest without them too. - At the end, you’ll unlock a map of three sweet spots in the city where you can treat yourselves. One of them even gives a free mini dessert to every child who completes the quest!

- Once purchased, the quest is yours for a full year. Start any day, any time that suits you.
